With Covid cases surging in the country, BCCI is focused on hosting IPL in India. In 2021 BCCI had to go back to Dubai, which hosted IPL sucessfully in 2020, because of player testing postive for Covid during IPL 2021 in India.
With increasing in cases and experiences of 2021 taken in to consideration, BCCI is looking to host complete edition of IPL in Maharastra. As confirmed by sources BCCI officials along with MCA are set to meet the CM of Maharastra this week to get goverenments approvals.
BCCI is planning to host IPL 15 in two cities, 4 Venues, 3 stadiums in Mumbai and one in Pune, which would avoid flight travel, as flight travel is the suspected cause of Covid cases in the campaings in IPL 2021 during Indian leg.
If things remain uncertain in India, IPL 15 would be hosted in Dubai.
