Player registration for the Indian Premier League mega auction closed on January 20. 896 Indian players and 318 overseas players have registered to be part of the Mega Auction to take place in Bangalore on the 12 and 13 of February

With the edition of two new teams this year Mega Auction will see 10 teams taking part in the auction. Two new teams have announced their list of three players, With Ahmedabad roping in Hardik as skipper and Lucknow going in with KL Rahul

Three IPL teams KKR, PKBS, RCB are looking to acquire skippers during the mega auction, RCB skipper Virat has stepped out from captaincy had left the role open. PKBS skipper was released their skipper KL Rahul and KKR released their skipper Eion Morgan.

Among 1,214 players there are 61 Indian capped players 209 International capped players and 41 associate players. Uncapped Indians who were part of previous IPL seasons are 143, and 6 International players in the same segment. Uncapped players with no prior experience with IPL are 692 from India and 62 international players.
