Sehwag says Franchise’s biggest loss: I would not be letting him go If I were a part of RCB.

Sehwag says Franchise's biggest loss

Virendra Sehwag says Franchise’s biggest loss has happened. He was talking about a former RCB star. He went on to say that if he has been a part of RCB he would have not let Yuzvendra Chahal go inspite of the retention policy.

Yuzvendra Chahal

He is an Indian Cricketer. Chahal mainly plays for Haryana in domestic Cricket. He is now playing for Rajasthan Royals, IPL. Chahal also plays in ODIs and T20s representing India. Cricket defines him as a Leg break bowler.

Royal Challengers will be playing against Punjab Kings on Sunday. In the last edition, they reached the playoffs. In this new season, a lot of changes have happened along with a change in the captaincy. Faf du Plessis will be leading the team. He was acquired for 7 crores.

Similar to all other franchises, RCB has got a change in its squad as well. Players like Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Mohammed Siraj were retained. Harshal Patel was retained. Other players like Chahal who have been in the squad for 8 years will now be playing for Rajasthan Royals.

But Sehwag was not happy with this decision. He told that the team will not have anyone to leg-spin in the IPL 2022. Losing Yuzvendra Chahal was the biggest loss for the team. RCB’s one of the best players was Chahal. He was at his best in small pitches like Bengaluru and Dubai. Chahal is also one of the economical bowlers of the team.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Sehwag said, “ If I was a part of RCB, I would not have thought about letting go, Chahal, for any price. I can understand the retention policy and all. Chahal was their key bowler. However, Siraj is a part of the Indian team now.

He has got that experience. But when complete responsibility falls on one’s shoulders, it becomes difficult. One can understand when Sehwag says Franchise’s biggest loss as Chahal has represented RCB in 114 matches and has taken 139 wickets for the side.
