Dinesh’s finishing style is the same as Dhoni-Du Plessis

Dinesh’s finishing style

On Wednesday evening, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). In a gripping match 6 of the IPL 2022 edition at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

RCB were made to work hard for their runs, chasing a measly 129, until Shahbaz Ahmed’s 20-ball 27 and Harshal Patel and Dinesh’s finishing style carried the side home.

After being selected to bat first, KKR were dismissed for 128 in 18.5 overs, thanks to Wanindu Hasarange’s 4 for 20, Akash Deep’s 3 for 45, and Harshal Patel’s 2 for 11.

In reply, RCB lost key players early in the chase. It is including skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. It continued until Shahbaz’s crucial knock and DK-boundaries Harshal’s guided them to their first win of the season.

Faf praised Dinesh’s finishing style as that of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni. At the post-match presentation, the RCB captain said, “It was never a problem with the runs.

All we needed were some cricket-wickets. When it comes to being ice-cool, DK is the closest thing to MS Dhoni. I rely on others for assistance. In the camp, we had some fantastic folks.”

Du Plessis went on to say, “Close games with small margins are crucial in the beginning. We just tried to stay upbeat despite the low score, but their seamers bowled exceptionally well.

The ball swung a little faster in the beginning, but there was seam and bounce today. It was 200 two or three days ago, and it is now 130. We’d like to be more persuasive.”

DK has been on a roll after two games. He has produced two gems of an innings. It includes a 32* (14) against Punjab Kings (PBKS) and a match-winning 7-ball 14 not out. He has a 219.04 strike rate, with four fours and an equal number of sixes. He’ll be eager to keep up the momentum. Also, he would make a case for a spot in India’s T20 World Cup squad in 2022.
