Jaiswal, Zampa put Rajasthan on the top

Yashasvi Jaiswal hit his best T20 score of 77 (43) to power Rajasthan Royals to 202  in their 20 overs. Later on, Adam Zampa pulled out a smart performance to get 3/22 in his three overs spell as the Royals restricted Chennai Super Kings to 170/6 in their 20 overs and won the match by 32 runs. With this win, the men from Pink City moved to the top of the points table in the league and also completed the double on the Super Kings, having beaten them earlier at Chepauk. 

Chasing 203 was never going to be easy and it wasn’t as Chennai could only get 42/1 in their powerplay. They lost three quick wickets and were suddenly down to 73/4 before Shivam Dube and Moeen Ali added 51 in 25 balls for the fifth wicket to put some life in the chase. Nothing much came after apart from yet another fifty from Shivam Dube. Ravi Chandran Ashwin picked two wickets as well. 

Earlier in the evening, after winning the toss and batting first, Rajasthan scored 64/0 in the powerplay. They lost three quick wickets to reel at 132/3 after being 86 without loss. However, Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal added 48 in just 20 balls at the end to get the team past 200. 

And the match comes to an end with a wicket of the last ball as Shivam Dube has been caught in the deep and Chennai Super Kings have managed to get 170/6 in their 20 overs, meaning they have lost the game by a huge margin of 32 runs. 

Jaiswal (77 off 43) continued his rich form with his third fifty of the tournament before Devdutt Padikkal (24 not out) and Dhruv Jurel (34 off 15) provided the final flourish to register the highest total — 202 for five — at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

Jason Holder bowls a good second-last over to take the match in favour of Rajasthan Royals. Shivam Dube gets his 3rd consecutive half-century of the season. CSK need 37 runs off 6 balls.
