It was Mumbai’s fourth consecutive 200-plus score as a near-perfect win helped them reclaim the third spot on the points table.

An in-form Surya once again lit up the Wankhede as his breathtaking effort helped Mumbai notch up their seventh win of the season. Two singles to follow as Miller swings the ball to deep midwicket and then Tewatia steers to deep third. Miller heaves again across the line and just gets one. Tewatia dances down the track but only manages to thump it down the ground for a single. Hundred up for GT in 11.5 overs. Miller swings and misses as Madhwal strays on the pads. There is a subdued appeal for LBW and given out by the umpire! Miller reviews it immediately. Four reds on the screen and Madhwal gets his third wicket.

Rashid Khan is introduced in the attack. He starts with a dot before Ishan Kishan rotates the strike. Rohit then sweeps a googly by Rashid towards the square leg region.

The MI skipper attempts a similar shot but an excellent effort by Vijay Shankar near the square leg ropes saves it from resulting a boundary as Rohit runs double.

There is a LBW appeal against Rohit in the over but the umpire isn’t interested. Pandya opts for review but TV replay confirms the ball was drifting down the leg stump. MI: 51/0 (5 overs)
