BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that India and Sri Lanka will be playing a Pink ball test match during Lanka’s tour to India scheduled towards the end of February or in the first week of March. However, Sourav has not given clarity on the date of the match.
“Only venue for the pink ball test is finalized and for the rest of the matches, a decision will be taken soon” added Sourav.
This will be the third Pink ball test match India will be hosting, after India vs Bangladesh at Kolkata in 2019 and India vs England at Ahmedabad last year. The pink test match between India and Sri Lanka at Bengaluru will also be Virat Kohli’s 100 Test match.
“India vs West Indies T20 series will be concluded on the 20 of February and post that Indian team will be prepared to play against Sri Lanka” concluded Sourav.
Sri Lanka will be touring India to play 3T20I and two test matches.
