Gavaskar and Butler praises Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna recorded the best-ever bowling figures on his debut in ODIs for India, earning accolades from the cricketing community. Gavaskar and Butler have lots of praise for him.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar feels young fast bowling sensation Prasidh Krishna may help India in Test cricket with his “speed and seam location,” adding that he, like Jasprit Bumrah, should be considered for the longer format.

The 25-year-old from Karnataka made a brilliant international debut in the first ODI against England, taking four wickets.

Jos Buttler praises Prasidh

Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler as well believes his teammate Prasidh Krishna has the potential to be a successful fast bowler and envisions the kid representing India in all three forms.

Krishna, who made his ODI debut in March of last year, has performed admirably in the past year. With his unnerving pace and bounce, he caused problems for the West Indies while also performing admirably for his previous IPL side, Kolkata Knight Riders.

“He has some pace and skills in the nets, and he has all the attributes to be a very successful fast bowler for India in all formats.” Buttler remarked at the pre-match press conference ahead of Rajasthan’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday, “I see him playing red-ball cricket for India as well.”

The squad is benefiting from the “invaluable experience” of veterans Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Trent Boult in critical circumstances, according to the flashy opener.

“Their knowledge is extremely valuable. Having those guys on board is excellent; we’ll be able to draw on a wealth of experience. When the game against Mumbai was on the line and wickets were needed, Ashwin stepped up with a stunning wicket and then Yuzi got two in two.

He continued, “Those folks are great performers who know how to get things done.” Prasidh’s performance is overwhelming for both Gavaskar and Butler.
