Surya Kumar Yadav Injured – High chances to miss IPL 2022 – Mumbai Indians’opening match

Surya Kumar Yadav is Injured and may miss being an opener in the IPL 2022 match. Mumbai Indians are all set to play against Delhi Capitals on the 27th of March. However, the participation of Surya in the opening match is in doubt. He had to encounter a hairline fracture recently on his thumb. On the 22nd of February when playing a T20 match against West Indies he got this injury. Yadav is presently in the Rehab at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.

Mumbai Indian captain Rohit Sharma officially announced the position of Yadav. He said, “ Surya is at NCA at the moment. He is recovering well. He’ll be here soon. I can’t give his availability right now, whether he will be available for the first game or not. But, yeah, we are trying to get him here as soon as possible once we have the clearance from NCA.”

Surya Kumar is playing for Mumbai Indians since 2019. He is one of the top order batters for the team. Even in the last season when the five-time champions failed to knockout, Yadav gave his best performance. He currently holds 317 at a strike rate of 143.43 and an average of 22. Surya Kumar Yadav has proved continuously to be the best batter with his immediate acceleration in the crease.

To replace injured Surya Kumar Yadav, Ramandeep Singh and Anmolpreet Singh will have to be chosen. Tilak Varma will be playing at no 4.
