Hockey India on Friday announced the core group that will be playing International tournaments this year.
60 people were called in based on their performance displayed at various national events. Out of the 60, 18 players will be travelling to Oman which will be led by Savita.
The core group will stay in the camp and prepare for FIH Pro League matches to be held at Bhubaneswar next month.
“It is time for us to start a fresh and plan for the future.We have grown over the past year with our experience in Tokyo and we must continue to develop and grow in the coming years, ahead of Paris 2024.
Indian coach Janneke Schopman
Schopman also said that the upcoming camp is important for Indian hockey as the focus is to identify the players who are ready to showcase their skills at the big stage. Coach also emphasized focusing on the areas that the team needs to improve to reach new heights as a team.
