Rashid Khan – Vice-Captain of Gujarat Titans 

Rashid Khan-Vice-captain of Gujarat Titans for IPL 2022. Gujarat Titans appointed Rashid Khan as the Vice-captain for this entire season. He is very much excited to play against LSG on the 28th of March 2022. 

On Sunday, the official announcement was made Rashid Khan will now be playing as Vice-Captain along with captain Hardik Pandya. Gujarat Titans drafted Rashid Khan ahead of the IPL mega auction for 15 crores. This was the same amount paid for Hardik Pandya.

Gujarat Titans took to social media to make an official announcement on the appointment of Rashid Khan Vice-Captain. An adorable picture of Hardik and Rashid was posted. 

Rashid Khan has the potential of leading Afghanistan’s national cricket team in International Cricket. He had led his nation’s team to win the first test match, first ODI and four T20s. However, he resigned from being the captain of Afghanistan before the start of the last T20 World Cup. 

Both Hardik Pandya and Gujarat Titans did not play together. Two of them were part of many IPL teams earlier. Ashish Nehra, the head coach of Gujarat Titans said, “ He is pleased with the strong, all-round squad of the franchise making their maiden appearance in the IPL.”

Rashid Khan says, “He is the captain, it will be a great opportunity for me to learn as much as possible. I will also share my experiences of playing in different leagues. “He is a new captain and this is a new team so definitely there will be so many things going on around his mind.”
