Women’s IPL: – Hello Cricket Lovers!!! This year 2023 BCCI is all set to begin the much-anticipated WIPL S1 in India with 5 teams. BCCI governing council is premiering the Women’s IPL in March 2023 in India Just after the Women’s cricket world cup in 2023. The format of the games and rules will be the same as the Men’s IPL. The proposed plan of BCCI for WIPL has 5 teams and a complete of 22 matches in the tournament.

Over 30 companies have taken the Invitation To Tender (ITT) document to be eligible to bid for an Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) team and some of them are newcomers to the world of sporting leagues. Chennai-based Shriram Group, Nilgiri Group and AW Katkuri Group are the names who have shown interest along with corporates like APL Apollo and Haldiram, a group of companies producing snacks and sweets.

WIPL 2023 Match Schedule together with franchise and team names are to be declared after the auction. After finalizing the Franchise name and the auction of Women Cricket Player will be organized by BCCI, and the teams of the Women’s IPL 2023 will be structured.

The BCCI on Monday, January 16th’2023 announced that Viacom 18 have grabbed the media rights for the upcoming Women’s IPL for a whopping `951 crore for five years after pipping other bidders, including Disney Star and Sony, in a closed-bid auction.

The auction for the T20 league was conducted by the cricket board in Mumbai on Monday. The inaugural Women’s IPL is likely to begin in the first week of March. Five teams will compete and all the matches will be held in Mumbai.

The global rights comprise three categories — linear (TV), digital and combined (TV and digital) and Viacom 18 successfully bid for the combined rights.
