McCullum praises the KKR team. He has a special mention of Shreyas Iyer. He praises the new skipper Shreyas Iyer saying the middle-order batter is in the process of becoming a Superstar. In the mega auction, he has secured INR 12.25 crore.

Shreyas Iyer was playing for Delhi Capitals. He is now going to play the Kolkata Knight Riders. In this IPL edition, Shreyas Iyer will be partying ways with Eion Morgan. Eion Morgan is a skilled skipper. 

Morgan led the KKR team in the last IPL edition. The team lost to MS Dhoni-led team Chennai Super Kings in Dubai.

In the current edition of IPL, KKR has got a lot of players like Nithish Rana, Shivam Mavi, Pat Cummins and Sheldon Jackson. The new players in the game are Sam Billings, Ajinkya Rahane and Mohammad

KKR has named Iyer as the new captain and acquired him for 12.25 crores. KKR is now hoping that Iyer can show the same success as Delhi Capitals to KKR as well. The head coach of the team Brendon McCullum praised Shreyas Iyer for his amazing skills. He went on to say that he has the potential to become the superstar of the game.

McCullum praises the KKR team. He was speaking at a virtual conference. There he spoke about Shreyas Iyer on the eve of the tournament opener against the defending champions CSK. McCullum said, “ He is a great buy. He could be the franchise player for KKR for the best part of the decade. 

He is well-respected around the world for what his game is about and what he’s been able to achieve. His best years are certainly in front of him. I think he’s got the potential to be an absolute superstar of the game so I cant wait to work with him.”

Shreyas Iyer scored well in all three formats of International Cricket. His performance was incredible in 8- a run knocks against the West Indies. Other performances are three unbeaten 50 plus scores in the T20s against Sri Lanka and in the day-night Test of 92 and 67.
