IPL 2022: Rishabh Pant Helping Behind the Stumps – Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav, an aspiring left-arm spinner was taken by the Delhi Capitals franchise in IPL 2022. Kuldeep Yadav is greatly enjoying his time at Delhi capitals as chinaman bowler.

Kuldeep Yadav played his A-game against his former IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders while picking up 4 wickets in the match. That game was even more special for Kuldeep Yadav, as it was against the team that made him warm the bench for the last two seasons.

However, this young spinner has come back to form after joining Delhi Capitals. So far he took a total of 10 wickets in 4 matches and succeeded with orange cap and player of match awards.

In the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kuldeep took the wickets of Shreyas Iyer, pat Cummins and Sunil Narine making more winning chances for Delhi Capitals.

Kuldeep Yadav is certainly enjoying his time at Delhi capitals with a better environment. He also adds that Rishab Pant helping behind the stumps.  “I am enjoying the environment here and have good backing from the side. Rishabh guides me well from behind the stumps, too,”.

“Shreyas was batting well and hitting it well, so that was a big wicket. Enjoyed Shreyas’ wicket more because it was my first and was the main wicket from the team’s point of view since he was batting well”.

“I haven’t tried too much and I am focusing on my rhythm. That’s what I did when I returned to the Indian team. I am enjoying my bowling and bowling at good lengths. I pulled the lengths against Shreyas as well as Cummins” said after the match.

Pant also tried to give him enough chances to get back in the groove. After winning the match against KKR by 44 runs, Pant addressed Kuldeep in the ceremony. “Kuldeep has been working for one year but hasn’t been getting chances. We are backing him here fully. We wanted momentum to keep going,” said Pant.
