Sachin Tendulkar analyses Virat Kohli's wicket against RR

Batting Maestro Sachin Tendulkar explains how Virat Kohli was dismissed by RR youngster Prasidh Krishna in the IPL qualifier two match at Narendra Modi Stadium yesterday.Tendulkar also praised that delivery of Krishna. Former Mumbai Indians captain also stated that 157 isn’t enough in this surface.

Tendulkar said that the dismissal delivery moved away little bit and possibly he was beaten by the bounce. He also said it’s easy for a batter to leave deliveries when ball moves one way. In Virat’s case one of the balls came back in and hit Virat on the thigh and he thought not to leave the ball.

Sachin Tendulkar explains how Virat Kohli was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna :

“When the ball is moving in one direction only then it is easy to leave deliveries. However, one of the balls came back in and hit Virat on the thigh. Batters then start thinking, ‘I can’t leave balls’. Prasidh’s follow-up delivery was very good. Virat was possibly beaten by the bounce of the delivery and the ball moved away a little bit off the wicket. But that was a fantastic delivery by Prasidh,’ Sachin said on his YouTube channel.

Rajasthan Royals pacer Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy took three wickets each in the match. Sachin heaped praised on both pacers performance.

“Along with Prasidh, McCoy was the key bowler. Both kept Bangalore under pressure. Prasidh dismissed Karthik, who had been batting very well down the order with a good strike rate and followed it up with a brilliant delivery to Hasaranga. 157 wasn’t a good total at all on this surface,” Tendulkar said

Sachin also hailed RCB batter Rajat Patider on his stroke playing abilities and calmness.

“Where there is pace and bounce on the wicket, it is not easy for batters to adjust, but Patidar did quite well. The two cover drives he hit off Prasidh, his position was excellent. I liked his calm and controlled approach during his innings.”

Rajat Patider scored 58 from 42 balls. Chasing 158, Rajasthan Royals won the match very easily. Opener Jos Butler hit magnificent century and equalled Virat Kohli’s record hundred in a single edition of IPL. RR will play against GT on Sunday in IPL 2022 Final.
